Aspiring women entrepreneurs: The Wonder Women in disguise

Aspiring women entrepreneurs: The Wonder Women in disguise

Do you remember the 2017 Wonder Woman movie? Then I am sure you are aware of the Amazon! This month our team organized a workshop for the Amazon women, sounds crazy? So yeah, our team found Cummins College, a girls college in Nagpur this year. The college campus is situated away from the hassle of the city and on the greener side has a pollution free zone throughout.

Our team organized workshops on tech and entrepreneurship and interacted with aspiring women entrepreneurs. The girls in this college have wonderful ideas with respect to technology and innovation. Though we had a few boys from different colleges who attended the session. The young minds are passionate about learning something new each day and exploring something beyond their reach and horizon.

The technical workshop covered Social Media Algorithms, their working and the parameters required by the social media platforms to rank certain content. Whereas the workshop related to entrepreneurship covered the basics right from the stepping stones of idea creation, pitching and implementation, and marketing part.

At the end of the workshops, students were divided into groups and given a product or service based idea to work upon. The students were then asked to weave an idea about it and strategize the branding plans and the entire business model. The time given to them was merely 5 mins and to our surprise, the teams fared well. Representatives from each of the groups were called on the stage to speak about their elevator pitch.

There are 16 girls in the E-cell team and each one of them handled the session and management really well. They have booming ideas and are all set to launch them and give wings to their dreams of becoming an entrepreneur. Our team got boosted by the positive vibes coming from this wonderful team of Cummins E-cell.

And our team had a good time interacting with these Amazon women and I am sure each one of them is a Wonder Woman in disguise.
